The Beacon 3-Gene Carrier Screening Panel screens for the most common genetic conditions seen within the general population (cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, and fragile X syndrome)*. Carrier screening for these conditions has been recommended by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG): testing should be offered to all pregnant individuals and those considering pregnancy. Fulgent's Beacon 3-Gene panel is rebatable under Medicare items 73451 and 73452. All testing is bulk-billed so eligible patients will not incur a gap fee⁺.

The Beacon 3-Gene Plus Carrier Screening Panel screens for the most common genetic conditions seen within the general population (cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, fragile X syndrome) as well as 13 additional X-linked recessive conditions*. Fulgent's Beacon 3-Gene Plus panel is rebatable under Medicare items 73451 and 73452. All testing is bulk-billed so eligible patients will not incur a gap fee+. Female patients receiving the Fulgent 3-Gene Plus Panel have the option to add analysis for X-linked recessive genes at no additional cost⁺.

The Beacon Expanded Panel provides an extensive evaluation regarding pan-ethnic genetic risks for people who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant in the future. This panel includes 787 autosomal recessive and X-linked genes, including all genes in the 3-Gene Plus Panel.* A merged couple report is provided, so as to easily identify reproductive partners with a high chance of having a child with one or more tested conditions.

The Beacon 787 Custom Individual Screening Panel is available for individuals or couples planning to use donor gametes and needing additional information about their genetic profile in order to match with one or more donor profiles or services.
